Research lead
Dr Lotte Elton leads the UNITE study. She is an academic GP and Clinical Doctoral Fellow at Queen Mary University of London and is undertaking the UNITE study as part of her PhD in Primary Care.
Supervisors and co-investigators
Professor Deborah Swinglehurst is a GP by background and a Professor of Primary Care at Queen Mary University of London.
Dr Nina Fudge is a Senior Lecturer in Social Science and Health at Queen Mary University of London.
Advisors
The UNITE study is supported by a Public Involvement Panel made up of five members of the public. Panel members bring their own experiences and perspectives of healthcare and blood testing to the research. They help us to consider what matters to patients and the public and advise us on how to communicate the research in ways that are accessible and meaningful.
The UNITE study also has a Project Advisory Panel which brings together researchers and healthcare professionals with expertise relevant to the study. The panel provides advice and critical challenge throughout the research, helping to shape the direction of the project and interpret and share its findings. The panel co-chaired by two public contributors, Steven Oliver and Cathy Mullins.
